MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT MUSWELLBROOK AND DENMAN FROM MIDDAY SUNDAY
SCONE PEAKED WITH NEAR MAJOR FLOODING
MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT MAITLAND FROM LATE SUNDAY MORNING
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been recorded across the Hunter catchment since Friday, with further rainfall forecast for the remainder of Sunday. River level rises are occurring along the Hunter River and its tributaries.
River levels along the Kingdon Pond at Scone peaked with near major flooding early Sunday morning. River levels along the Upper Hunter River at Aberdeen peaked near the moderate flood level early Sunday morning. Moderate flooding is occurring along the Upper Hunter River at Muswellbrook where major flooding is possible around mid Sunday. Major flooding is possible at Denman Sunday afternoon. Along the Lower Hunter River Minor flooding is likely at Maitland from late Sunday morning.
